How to determine the right size pet bag/pet outing bag/cat bag (Hong Kong)

To determine the right cat carrier, we must first know the size, height, and length of the pet cat, because weight sometimes does not reflect volume .

Can pets travel on a plane with passengers? Can a cat be brought on board in a carrier?

Many guests have asked if we have in-cabin bags/cat bags that allow pets to travel with passengers. If the flight allows pets to travel in the cabin, you should check with the airline, as the size of each aircraft is different, and the size of the space under the seat also varies.

If your pet is a regular pet, the airline will arrange for it to travel as cargo. Some airlines allow them to be carried on board as checked baggage, while others require them to be transported as cargo and cannot be carried as checked baggage.

Please note the following before purchasing:

If you are traveling by air, we recommend that you contact the relevant airline before your trip to confirm their specific requirements. Returns and exchanges will not be accepted for reasons that the airline refuses to comply.

Space for pets on airplanes is limited; the number of pets allowed depends on the type of aircraft, destination, and operating airline. Please book your pet as soon as possible after booking your flight. Bookings should be made no later than 48 hours before flight departure.

Airline regulations reference

KML Airlines

1. When traveling in economy class or business class within Europe, you may bring one cat or dog into the cabin.
2. Your pet should be placed in an enclosed pet travel carrier or pet transport crate with a maximum size of 46 x 28 x 24 cm, as the pet needs to be placed under the seat in front of you. The total weight of your pet, travel carrier, or pet transport crate must not exceed 8 kg. Pets are not allowed to be removed from the pet transport crate during the flight, so please ensure your pet is small enough to move around comfortably.
3. Pets are not allowed in the cabin if you are traveling in Premium or Business class on an intercontinental flight. Pet carriers cannot be placed under the seat in front of you in these classes.

United Airlines

United Airlines states that pets brought into the cabin must be placed in an approved hard-sided or soft-sided carrier under the passenger's seat. The maximum dimensions for a hard-sided carrier are 17.5 inches long x 12 inches wide x 7.5 inches high (44 cm x 30 cm x 19 cm). The maximum dimensions for a soft-sided carrier are 18 inches long x 11 inches wide x 11 inches high (46 cm x 28 cm x 28 cm).

Air Canada

Each passenger is only allowed to bring one cat or small dog in the cabin.
Your pet must be at least 10 weeks old and fully weaned.
Since you will need to meet with staff upon check-in, please arrive at the airport 30 minutes before the recommended check-in time. Passengers traveling with pets cannot check in online or using the airport's self-service check-in system.

*Pet carriers must be soft-sided.

Korean Air

Please confirm your trip with your pet through the service center, as this may be subject to restrictions based on country/region, area, and aircraft type.
Passengers are not allowed to transport pets without prior confirmation.
Each passenger may bring one animal on board and check in two pets.
If you are bringing a pet on board, we will arrange a designated pet seat.
The conveyor belt must be less than: A (width) - 32 cm / 12.5 inches, B (length) - 45 cm / 17.5 inches, C (height) - 19 cm / 7.5 inches (maximum height for flexible conveyors: 25 cm / 10 inches or less).
The transport equipment must be able to be stored under the seat.
